The DataFrame.shape attribute will give you the length and width of a Pandas DataFrame.

This might be useful when you are working with multiple DataFrame and want to check that the DataFrame is of a certain size.

Here is the code

# Checkout thepythonyouneed.com for more code snippets!

# To work with DataFrame
import pandas as pd

# We create a sample DataFrame
df = pd.DataFrame({"col1" : [2, 1, 4, 2, 0],
                   "col2" : [2, 1, 3, 1, 0]})

# We print the shape of the dataframe, which will give us a
# tuple with the length and the width of the dataframe. (length, width)
print(df.shape)

# We can access the length like this
print(df.shape[0])

# We can access the width like this
print(df.shape[1])

Here you are! You now know how to get the length and width of a Pandas DataFrame using Python.
